HOW TO USE

 

  • GÜRDAL DAIRY GOAT FEED is prepared to meet the nutritional needs of lactating high-yielding breeds such as high-yielding Saanen goats.
  • The amount of GÜRDAL DAIRY GOAT FEED to be used varies according to the amount and quality of rough and other concentrated feeds given to goats.
  • Feed should be given in at least 2 meals during the day.
  • When using high quality roughage such as alfalfa and dry grass, the amount of Dairy Goat Feed to be given should be calculated practically as 450 grams per litre of milk.


AREAS OF USE

  • GÜRDAL DAIRY GOAT FEED is specially produced for high-yielding goats such as Saanen goats and can be used throughout entire milking season.

  • Increases milk yield due to its specially regulated energy and protein balance.
  • Does not need extra vitamins and minerals due to its vitamin and mineral additives.

 

Sample feeding program to be used during milking period of goats:

  • Goats can be fed with alfalfa and dry grass ad libitum during milking season. Feeding with silage is not recommended for goats.
  • Goats should be fed with Dairy Goat Feed before the consumption of roughage and pasture feed. 500 grams of Dairy Goat Feed will be sufficient for goats to meet their nutrition needs to stay alive.
  • In the first 8 weeks of milking, goats should be fed with 450 – 500 grams of Dairy Goat Feed per litre of milk they give in addition to their nutrition needs to stay alive. The quality of roughage should be kept as high as possible in this period.
  • The amount of Dairy Goat Feed to be given in the later stages of milking should be adjusted according to goats’ milk yield.
  • The use of alfalfa should be restricted in prenatal goats.
